Acting

First day on set at ITV’s Coronation Street
in the bar of The Rovers Return

I started acting professionally on TV when I was first cast to play Cormac “Macca” Hibbs in Coronation Street in 2014. Macca was originally intended to be a small role for a handful of episodes but the storyline he was involved in was popular and I carried on playing Macca. My last appearance on the show was in 2019.

After landing the role of Macca I’ve gone on to appear in Dr Who, Eastenders, The Bastard Executioner, The Essex Serpent, My Lady Jane, Mog’s Christmas and more.

This year I’ve landed my first Voice role in Mog’s Christmas which will be on Channel 4 at Christmas. I’m privileged to be part of this incredible cast that includes Charlie Higson, Miriam Margoyles, Benedict Cumberpatch and more.

Recently I’ve been playing Parrot on Pirate and Parrot TV.

This is a children’s YouTube channel created specifically during the Covid 19 Pandemic whilst in shielding lockdown due to being clinically vulnerable. The entire channel is self-produced and currently shot on our mobile phones.

It’s written and directed by Red Earth Theatre who developed and devised the show with myself and my wife, actress Kiruna Stamell, back in 2014 when it toured regional theatres with support from the Arts Council.
